I have never known people having Internet problems in Manhattan unless I guess there is some kind of storm or blackout. Now, I know. We used to have that problem regularly when it rained or was damp. It's our computer and land line that's together. The TV is separate. That's why I'm hesitant to go for bundling. I always thought Time Warner is better than what I get up here, Cablevision, but I guess they are all the same shit. Remember, some time back, I had lost service for some hours then it came? I was emailing your from my phone.

Just curious, you would've let me wonder all week-end why I hadn't heard from you? Since we met, we haven't gone being out of touch for this long. The Internet thing did cross my mind, but I didn't think about it seriously, since I thought service in Manhattan was so much better than up here. I was (stupidly obviously) so worried. I thought you weren't well in some way, or your wife had found out, in which case I thought you could drop a line, saying you had to lay low. Finally, I chose to believe you had gone out of town for the day, but then I would think, he would've said, he won't have access to Internet. Did you get my emails on Sat? Do you get my emails on your Blackberry? I know you can text from it; can you also send emails from it?

I didn't want to text you given that it was the week-end, but I was too worried by the time it got to be 7 at night.

I don't get your emails on my blackberry.  It is a company phone.  I kept thinking it would come back.  I didn't think texting was worth the risk.  I even thought about going to the Apple store to use a computer. 

I am slowly turning into a Luddite.  Progress lately has been so backwards.  We have three new computer systems that don't work on my pc so I have to go to central computers to use them.  One of them requires someone else to do the work and she is on vacation.  Ugh!

At any rate, can you come into the city on Friday?

That is excellent news.  You just made my week.  I will check hotels.  I will try Waldorf and Hilton.
