Almost four years ago, I fell in love for the first time--twenty-five years too late--and began an affair. Over the years, Kevin and I have met several times a week and email several times a day. I have kept almost all of the emails that I sent to him and that he sent to me. Along the way, there has been laughter and tenderness and heat...and heartache.

This blog is the posting of our daily emails. It chronicles the lives of two people over a four year period so far, and tells the story of our burgeoning love against the backdrop of New York City.

The names and addresses have been changed to protect the innocent; the rest is 100% real.

The daily update structure helps keep the blog as authentic as possible as well as living up to its title. It also strives to provide the reader with the kind of pleasure that a soap opera offers--a daily dose of voyeuristic fun.

Coke Counts

How is the toe? I hope you aren't coming down with a cold. Either way, you should probably rest and drink lots of liquids (Coke doesn't count) water and juice are best.

Did you go to see the exhibit? I hope it was good. How was playing your guitar yesterday? You had lots of time, it sounds like. Do you have a gig coming up?

The house is getting quieter. My nephew and his wife headed to Toronto this morning, so we're just hanging out. I'm going to take the girls to shop for back to school supplies a little later. XOXOXOXOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hello HFG,

The toe is ok.  The exhibit involved a lot of walking.  It was too crowded and the venue is a pain.  I was a little underwhelmed.  I am glad I saw it though.  I got a lesson in chinese history that was interesting. 

I am going to skip my run and ride this morning to give it a rest.  Coke counts!  It has water in it.  I have been drinking water though and I had some orange juice earlier.

I had a lot of fun yesterday.  I got through the whole song list.  There are no shows lined up.  I don't expect anything before October.

I always like getting school supplies.  The beginning of a school year was very exciting.  I kind of miss that.  Have fun.
